Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance records
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts)
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Navigate urban and rural routes using GPS and mapping systems
- Complete required paperwork (BOLs, delivery confirmations) accurately and timely
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and transportation software
- Strong knowledge of hazardous materials handling (Hazmat certification preferred)
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
