Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across Virginia and neighboring states
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS guidelines, and company safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections, document maintenance logs, and report vehicle issues promptly
- Load/unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate status updates to dispatch
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Collaborate with logistics team to optimize routes and ensure on-time deliveries
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Current DOT medical certification and physical card
- Ability to pass mandatory background check and drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Strong knowledge of Virginia roadways and regional geography
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
