Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul routes
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and DOT compliance documentation
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Secure cargo according to industry standards and regulations
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and delivery
- Represent Swift Transport with professionalism in customer interactions
- Adhere to all federal/state transportation laws and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- HazMat endorsement preferred (training provided)
- Strong knowledge of Houston metro area and Texas highways
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends
- Basic computer skills for electronic logging
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
