Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial Class A motor vehicle in accordance with all FMCSA and state regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing methods are used.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (ELD/DVIR) and ensure vehicle cleanliness.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any mechanical issues.
- Navigate efficiently to delivery and pickup locations while adhering to strict delivery time windows.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding shipment status and delays.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding safety protocols and professional conduct.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the State of Michigan.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable truck driving experience.
- Current DOT medical card (Medical Examiner's Certificate).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of road maps, GPS systems, and traffic patterns in the Midwest region.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing manual tasks.
