Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers to deliver freight on multi-state routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload shipments with proper handling techniques
- Communicate dispatch updates and delivery status in real-time
- Manage electronic logging systems (ELD) and documentation
- Adapt to dynamic schedules and prioritize delivery efficiency
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean MVR
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with hazmat materials (Hazmat endorsement preferred)
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety standards
- Ability to handle multi-day overnight trips
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic proficiency with GPS navigation and communication devices
