Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for regional freight transport
- Execute pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure on-time performance and fuel efficiency
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for real-time route adjustments and load status
- Handle specialized freight requiring temperature control and secure handling
- Document delivery receipts and resolve customer inquiries professionally
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with HazMat endorsement
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and random drug screenings
- Proficient in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Strong knowledge of Illinois roadways and Midwest geography
- Physical ability to secure loads and perform basic roadside repairs
