Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B CDL) to transport goods per DOT regulations
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology to meet delivery schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Load/unload shipments with proper equipment handling protocols
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding delivery status and potential delays
- Adhere to all safety policies and maintain clean driving record
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean MVR
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer or straight truck experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS systems
- Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations and safety protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
