Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to deliver freight on time and in pristine condition
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance records
- Navigate complex urban routes and industrial zones with precision and efficiency
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload freight using proper equipment and securement techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Maintain electronic logs and documentation in compliance with DOT standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Detroit metro area and Michigan highway systems
- Strong commitment to safety and defensive driving practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and route optimization skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including early mornings and weekends
