Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) on designated routes across Texas and surrounding states
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Load/unload cargo using appropriate equipment and secure materials per safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while ensuring on-time performance
- Report maintenance issues and coordinate vehicle repairs promptly
- Complete daily payroll documentation for immediate payment processing
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean MVR (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
- Proficient in using electronic logging devices and GPS navigation
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety standards
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overnight routes as needed
