Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local and regional deliveries within San Francisco Bay Area
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and local traffic ordinances
- Load/unload freight using specialized equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) with precision
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to maximize efficiency and on-time performance
- Communicate proactively with dispatch, clients, and warehouse teams regarding shipment status
- Maintain clean driving record and complete all required training modules quarterly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience with hazmat endorsement preferred
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background investigation
- Proficient in electronic logging devices (ELD) and route navigation systems
- Strong knowledge of California weight restrictions and bridge laws
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills in urban environments
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs repeatedly and work in variable weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics certifications a plus
