Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van and refrigerated) following DOT regulations
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and techniques
- Maintain electronic logs and delivery documentation
- Communicate with dispatch regarding delays or route changes
- Represent Southwest Transport Solutions with professional conduct
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with HOS regulations and electronic logging
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Basic navigation skills and smartphone proficiency
- Flexibility for early morning start times
- No major preventable accidents in past 3 years
