Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver goods throughout Memphis and surrounding areas
- Perform thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology while adhering to delivery schedules
- Load/unload shipments with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and issue resolution
- Comply with DOT regulations, HOS requirements, and company safety protocols
- Document delivery status, obtain signatures, and report any incidents promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and operate loading equipment
- Proficient in using GPS navigation and delivery tracking systems
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Pass background check and drug screening as required by DOT
- Knowledge of Memphis metro area and surrounding regions
