Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A) to deliver goods to designated locations in San Francisco and surrounding areas.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring all freight is handled with care.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained during and between shifts.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Pass a comprehensive background check, drug screen, and DOT physical examination.
- Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission trucks.
- Strong knowledge of local San Francisco streets and traffic patterns.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
