Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently to deliver freight on time and in full.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement according to safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and adhere to all DOT and company policies.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
- Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) in hand (no experience required for training).
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be at least 21 years of age for interstate driving.
- Clean driving record with no major violations (DUI, reckless driving) in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Basic knowledge of GPS navigation systems.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
