Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) in accordance with all FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Deliver cargo to designated locations on time while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance.
- Accurately complete and maintain electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery logs (EOC).
- Handle loading and unloading of freight, ensuring cargo security and proper handling.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, management, and customers regarding delays or issues.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean driving record.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road conditions, and safety regulations.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
