Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods along designated NY routes
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Ensure timely deliveries while adhering to strict safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Collaborate with dispatch to optimize route efficiency and handle exceptions
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all federal/state regulations
- Assist with freight handling and secure cargo per industry standards
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Strong knowledge of Buffalo metro area and NY state highways
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices and basic navigation systems
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
