Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles and tractor-trailers on designated routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate logs using electronic logging devices (ELD) and adhere to DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and law enforcement as needed.
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and in good mechanical condition.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safety procedures.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
