Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans safely and efficiently to deliver freight on time.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and handling of goods.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and driver's daily logs according to FMCSA regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers, dispatchers, and co-workers.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Keep the truck clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical exam and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and road conditions.
- Basic math skills for cargo weight and balance calculations.
- Ability to lift and carry cargo weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
