Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) to deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads.
- Maintain accurate logs (Electronic Logging Device - ELD) and adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally and resolving delivery issues efficiently.
- Keep the vehicle clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial environment.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of California roadways and traffic regulations.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
