Responsibilities
- Operate commercial delivery trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Load and unload trailers or delivery vehicles, ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo security.
- Verify and inspect cargo for damage before and after transit, documenting any discrepancies immediately.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logbooks.
- Interact professionally with customers at delivery sites, handling paperwork and resolving issues courteously.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and mechanical reliability.
- Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Qualifications
- Clean driving record (no major moving violations within the last 3-5 years).
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A (or willingness to obtain one through our paid training program).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic math skills for calculating fuel and mileage.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if necessary.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
