Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans in a safe and timely manner to meet delivery schedules.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DOT compliant) and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and ensure compliance with all FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Keep the truck interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required (CDL A preferred).
- Must possess a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination (drug screen required).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays as business demands.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
