Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently on designated routes throughout the Philadelphia area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring product integrity and minimizing damage.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) in accordance with federal laws.
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading and unloading processes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse staff regarding schedule changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no more than one preventable accident in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Strong commitment to safety and time management.
- Ability to work flexible night shift schedules and weekends as required.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
