Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks over various terrains and road conditions in and around New York.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring product integrity and safety.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and required documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Experience in flatbed, tanker, or dry van preferred but willing to train qualified candidates.
- Strong knowledge of New York and Ohio roadways is a plus.
