Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL) in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight safely and efficiently, ensuring cargo is secured properly.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any delays.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial vehicle.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of cargo handling and securing procedures.
- Basic computer skills for logging and paperwork.
