Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers for regional routes within Texas and surrounding states
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation per FMCSA regulations
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize delivery schedules and troubleshoot delays
- Represent our company professionally with exceptional customer service at all delivery points
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Perform minor preventative maintenance checks and report mechanical issues
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT compliance
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting abilities
- Flexibility for overnight trips and weekend deliveries
