As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transport of cargo across the Midwest and regional routes including North Carolina. We pride ourselves on maintaining a clean, modern fleet and providing ongoing training.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks in compliance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure vehicle safety and proper maintenance.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and traffic laws to minimize risk.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT Medical Card and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, cargo securement, and vehicle inspection.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
