Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks (24-26ft) for time-sensitive deliveries across NYC metro area
- Optimize routes using provided dispatch software to maintain 98% on-time performance
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle documentation
- Coordinate with warehouse staff for efficient loading/unloading procedures
- Manage digital paperwork including BOLs and delivery confirmations
- Uphold strict compliance with DOT regulations and local ordinances
- Communicate proactively with dispatch team about delays or route changes
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean MVR (3+ years verifiable experience)
- Own or lease well-maintained box truck (24-26ft preferred)
- Proven track record in urban delivery environments
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Proficient with GPS navigation and digital dispatch apps
- Strong knowledge of NYC traffic patterns and parking regulations
- Commercial liability insurance ($1M minimum coverage)
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting capabilities
