Responsibilities
- Operate your own box truck for local and regional deliveries within the Tampa Bay area
- Maintain clean, DOT-compliant vehicle with regular inspections and maintenance
- Coordinate delivery schedules with dispatch team for optimal efficiency
- Provide excellent customer service during loading/unloading and delivery confirmations
- Manage paperwork including delivery logs, bills of lading, and mileage reports
- Adhere to all safety regulations and traffic laws
- Communicate proactively with clients and dispatch regarding delivery status
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years box truck operation experience
- Proof of commercial insurance (liability/cargo)
- Reliable box truck (26-28ft) with current registration and inspection
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Basic smartphone proficiency for communication and GPS navigation
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally
- Tampa Bay area residency preferred
