Responsibilities
- Operate box trucks for timely delivery of freight throughout Baltimore metro area and surrounding regions
- Maintain strict adherence to DOT regulations and safety protocols during all transit operations
- Coordinate with dispatch team to optimize routes and ensure on-time deliveries
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance requirements
- Manage cargo loading/unloading procedures with precision and care
- Utilize electronic logging systems for accurate hours-of-service tracking
- Build positive client relationships through professional communication and service excellence
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years box truck or heavy vehicle operation experience
- DOT medical certification and required compliance documentation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and electronic logging devices
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Reliable personal box truck (2005 or newer, under 26,000 GVWR)
- Commercial insurance coverage meeting minimum liability requirements
