Responsibilities
- Operate 26-foot box trucks for local/regional freight delivery with on-time performance
- Manage daily route planning, loading/unloading, and delivery documentation
- Maintain truck cleanliness, safety compliance, and preventative maintenance schedules
- Coordinate with dispatch team for optimal freight assignment and route efficiency
- Track mileage, expenses, and revenue for accurate financial reporting
- Build strong client relationships through professional communication and service excellence
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and safety protocols during operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL license with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of box truck or commercial driving experience
- DOT medical certification and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor truck maintenance and troubleshooting
- Strong time management and organizational skills for independent operations
- Reliable smartphone with GPS and mobile data capabilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Commercial insurance coverage meeting company minimum requirements
