Responsibilities
- Operate your owned box truck for local/regional freight delivery in Sacramento metro area
- Maintain safe driving practices and comply with all FMCSA regulations
- Manage loading/unloading operations with appropriate equipment handling
- Submit accurate delivery documentation and daily mileage logs
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and safety inspections
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning
- Build strong client relationships through professional service delivery
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck experience
- Proof of commercial liability insurance ($1M minimum)
- Reliable late-model box truck (2008 or newer, 26ft max)
- Smartphone with GPS and reliable internet connectivity
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
