As a DSP driver, you'll be the face of Amazon to our DC-area customers, ensuring timely package delivery while maintaining the highest standards of safety and service.
Responsibilities
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws
- Load/unload packages using proper lifting techniques (up to 50 lbs)
- Provide exceptional customer service during package deliveries
- Maintain accurate delivery records and report any issues
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team about delivery status
- Support warehouse operations during peak periods
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and work in varying weather conditions
- Basic smartphone proficiency for delivery tracking apps
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous delivery or logistics experience preferred
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds repeatedly
