Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver Amazon packages to customers within designated Chicago routes
- Operate delivery vehicles (vans or trucks) in compliance with all traffic laws and Amazon safety protocols
- Load/unload packages using proper lifting techniques and maintain organized delivery vehicles
- Manage delivery documentation, scan packages, and report delivery exceptions or route issues
- Provide outstanding customer service during all interactions including deliveries and problem resolution
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize routes and ensure timely deliveries
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Previous delivery or commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to lift packages up to 70 lbs repeatedly
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Basic smartphone proficiency for delivery scanning apps
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
