- Lead horizon scanning to identify disruptive 2026+ tech trends (quantum computing, neurointerfaces, synthetic biology)
- Develop scenario-based strategic roadmaps for 3-5 year innovation horizons
- Champion cross-functional R&D initiatives bridging emerging tech with commercial applications
- Present future-state briefings to investors, board members, and industry consortia
- Build and lead an internal 'Future Intelligence' think tank
- Drive patent strategy for breakthrough 2026-era innovations
- Partner with policy teams to shape regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation or futures research with Fortune 500/tech unicorns
- Expertise in exponential technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology) adoption curves
- Proven track record of launching future-oriented products/services
- Advanced degree in Technology Forecasting, Futures Studies, or related field
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed futurist journals
- Experience with scenario planning frameworks (e.g., Delphi method, STEEP analysis)
- Deep understanding of geopolitical and socioeconomic drivers of 2026+ trends
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Strategic Foresight (preferred)
